I’m Ebony Simms — author, publisher, speaker, and entrepreneur rooted in faith, purpose, and the belief that every woman carries a story worth telling. I’m most passionate about helping women in rebuilding seasons rediscover their voice, reclaim their identity, and transform their lived experiences into legacy. Through books, courses, and community, I’ve built an ecosystem designed to meet women exactly where they are and walk with them toward who they’re becoming.

My Why

I started this work because I know what it feels like to be standing in the middle of your own rebuilding season — navigating the tension between who you were and who God is calling you to be. My faith has been the throughline of every chapter of my life, and I’ve wrestled with the question of identity long enough to know it’s the most important work a woman can do. I didn’t want to just survive the hard seasons. I wanted to understand them, document them, and use them to light the way for someone else. That’s why Still Standing Society™ exists — because “still standing” isn’t just survival, it’s a testimony.

My Journey

My journey has been shaped by a rich ancestral heritage — West African, European, and Ashkenazi Jewish roots that gave me an early understanding that identity is layered, sacred, and worth exploring. I’ve spent over two decades in Florida building a life at the intersection of education, technology, and storytelling. Professionally, my background in coding and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) trained me to think in systems and structures — skills I brought directly into my publishing and AI consulting work. But the deeper formation happened in the quiet places: in my study of Scripture, in my exploration of neuroscience and heart-brain science, and in the moments I sat down to write and realized the page was the place I made the most sense of my life. I founded Inner Voice Publishing as a home for that voice — and for the voices of others who haven’t found theirs yet.

Still Standing Society™ exists to empower women in rebuilding seasons to reclaim their identity, amplify their voice, and build a legacy that outlives their struggle. Through faith-anchored frameworks, transformative publishing, and strategic education, we walk alongside women who are still standing — and help them discover that where they are is exactly where their next chapter begins. Our mission extends beyond the individual: through Inner Voice Publishing, we serve authors and communities who have been underrepresented in traditional publishing, including incarcerated populations, so that every voice has the dignity of being heard.
